SUNDAY SERMONS

December - Promise Sermon

 Promise - December

Divine Borders

Psalm 147:14 'He maketh peace in thy borders, and filleth thee with the finest of the wheat.'

According to the promise verse, the Lord promises peaceful borders and blessings of the finest flour. The Lord will give us the blessings in abundance. When we meditate
on the verse, we should recall our borders of family, borders of work, borders of church, borders of the children and so on. This month the Lord will shower his blessings
upon all our borders. The Lord will also expand our boundaries. We might limit our borders but the Lord will enlarge them. We are going to meditate on how the works
of the Lord will be manifested in our lives. In Psalm 147, it records the works of the Lord for his people of Israel. Also from verses 1-6, we see the Lord gathers
the Israelites who were scattered and informs them about his work. This Psalm talks about the how the Lord rebuilds for his children. To those who lost their blessings
because of their deeds that displeased God, he announces that he will restore those blessings and will rebuild them. Further when we read verse 12, we get to know God
talks about the blessings he gives when we proclaim his wonders and praise him. Even in our lives, we might have lost certain blessings due to many reasons. The Lord
says he will restore them. We the children of Lord should take a resolution to praise the Lord at any given situation.

Strengthens the bars of your gates

Psalm 147:13 'For he hath strengthened the bars of thy gates; he hath blessed thy children within thee.'

Here we see the Lord strengthens the bars of our gates. Our Lord is a Lord who protects his children. In those days, when enemies are fighting in the battleground, they
will always try to destroy the doors and gates. If the gates are weak, it will make the enemies enter into the place to create more destruction. Bars which is kept across
the door plays a key role at the time of battle as it prevents enemies from barging inside the forts. Also we read in Psalm 127:1 'except the LORD keep the city,
the watchman waketh but in vain.' No matter how many advanced instruments we have for protecting ourselves, our Lord alone is the true protector. Today, we need to ask
ourselves how are our gates found? Are we opening our gates for Satan? How is our spiritual borders? We might face situations where Satan is trying to break into
our gates, there can be threat to our family borders and so on. Today, we need to be spiritually strong with prayer and anointing to guard ourselves from all the dangers.

Also in this verse, we can read about the gates and also about the blessing of children. The Lord says, he will take care of the protection of our children. Satan might
attempt to break the boundaries of our children, but the hands of the Lord will strengthen the bars of the gates. The Lord will surely give us the blessings of generations
and will strengthen our spiritual lives. We need to ask of the Lord to reveal where are we failing in our spiritual life? ask if our bars are weak? The Lord will answer
our prayers and will make his strength perfect in weakness.

Makes peace in borders

Psalm 147:14 'He maketh peace in thy borders, and filleth thee with the finest of the wheat.'

In the above passage we read the Lord gives peace to our borders. In all the borders of our life, the Lord will command a peace. The job we received from the Lord will
not be taken away. No lay offs can affect the children of the Lord. We read in Job 1:10 'Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that
he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.' Why is Job's work was blessed and his substance was increased?
It is because the Lord has hedged his borders. When the Lord makes peace in our borders, we will hear all good news. There is no room for fear or anxiety. People who
were terrorising us will come in peace with us. All our emotional struggles, depressions will be removed by the hands of the Lord. We will experience a great peace in
our family. Due to emotional blockages, we are unable to move forward and grow in our lives. The Lord God will provide a double fold growth in places where our growths
were hindered. In times of peace, the Lord give us great peace. The battles we faced will come to an end and we will glorify the Lord for his peace.

Gives satisfaction in abundance

Psalm 147:14 'He maketh peace in thy borders, and filleth thee with the finest of the wheat.'

When there is peace, there is a great increase in the harvest of wheat. The Lord fills us with the finest of wheat at the right time. It also brings an increase and
satisfaction. We might have faced a different situation when we started this year, but we need to have confirmation that we will end this year with satisfaction. The
Lord gives the blessing of self contentment. The blessings of finest wheat will change all our shorfalls. The blessings of the Lord starts from the borders, descends
on the bars of the gates, descends on the grains and it gives a satisfaction for the people in the city. It starts in borders and ends in satisfaction. Even in our
lives, we will end this year with thanksgiving and satisfaction. The Lord will bless us with exclusive and unique blessings. Amen.
