Blessings of the Borders
Blessings of the Borders
Psalm 147:14 'He maketh peace in thy borders, and filleth thee with the finest of the wheat.'
Here we read about the blessing of the borders which is very important. The Borders that the Lord gave us gives a lot of protection. The Lord has kept a boundary or a
border to our families and our job. When we are found within the borders of the Lord, the Lord will bless us. We see the blessings of the Lord will always remain those borders.
We read in Acts 17:26 'And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds
of their habitation.' Many of us are complaining about the place or the country they live in. This verse confirms that we are living in the places which is determined
by the Lord God. The Lord has kept the blessing of inhabitation in the boundaries marked by the Lord. Also the people who come into our boundaries will be blessed
through us just as how Lot was blessed as he was with Abraham. Also we read in Deuteronomy 33:12 'And of Benjamin he said, The beloved of the LORD shall dwell
in safety by him; and the LORD shall cover him all the day long, and he shall dwell between his shoulders.' The borders of the Lord are special and privileged as the
Lord is dwelling inside them. We will feel the presence of the Lord in the borders of the Lord. Today we will meditate on the blessings of the borders.
Uniqueness
Numbers 23:9 'For from the top of the rocks I see him, and from the hills I behold him: lo, the people shall dwell alone, and shall not be reckoned among the nations.'
We see the people of Israel encounters Prophet Balaam who was brought in to curse the Israelites. In the passage we read the people of the Lord were dwelling alone inside
their borders. The Lord set borders for the Israelites as they would not be reckoned with the nations. The borders are always unique and special in the sight of the
Lord. When the Lord sees the borders of Israel, it was special to him. We need to keep confessing that we should be unique and special in the sight of the Lord. When we have
a good relationship with Lord, it will make us special. A good fellowship with the Lord will reflect in our countenance. All the unholy things of this world will not be
found in our lives, when we have a good fellowship with the Lord. We read Micah 7:14 'Feed thy people with thy rod, the flock of thine heritage, which dwell solitarily
in the wood, in the midst of Carmel: let them feed in Bashan and Gilead, as in the days of old.' We should live a life where we dwell solitarily in the borders. We live
in the days where many sins are approved by the law. The Lord wants his children to dwell in the borders and expects us to be unique. Rest of the nation seen as forests
by the Lord but Bashan and Gilead will be seen as green pastures. The flock that grazes in the borders will be fat and beautiful. Even in our lives, when we live and feed
on the borders marked by the Lord we will flourish. The land that was desolate was restored and prospered by the great shepherd and the flock were made fat and special
in his sight. When we are within the borders of the Lord, we will be fed and will become a unique person.
God's Beloved
Deuteronomy 33:12 ''And of Benjamin he said, The beloved of the LORD shall dwell in safety by him; and the LORD shall cover him all the day long, and he shall dwell between
his shoulders.
While Jacob was blessing, he gives special blessing to some of them. Benjamin who dwelt within the borders was beloved to the Lord. What was found in the borders of
Benjamin? The love of the Lord. When we are dwelling in the borders the Lord, we will feel and share the love of the Lord. When we dwell in the borders of God's love, we
will receive the experience of dwelling in safety. There will be a divine safety in our borders, divine healing will be active always in our lives. The Lord will carry us
in the shoulders in his borders. Secondly, he shelters us all day long. The Lord will cover us with his wings. We need not worry about sickness and diseases as we are
dwelling in the borders of the Lord. The Lord who is the healer will give us health and strength.
Security
Isaiah 60:18 'Violence shall no more be heard in thy land, wasting nor destruction within thy borders; but thou shalt call thy walls Salvation, and thy gates Praise.'
In the above passage we read violence shall no more be heard in thy land, wasting nor destruction within thy borders. It means the borders will have a divine security.
Borders play an important role in the security. Only when the borders are secured, any nation can be safe. When we are in the borders of the Lord, we will have the
walls of salvation. Our spiritual walls of prayer and fellowship will guard us from enemies and Satan. We read in Philippians 2:12 '..work out your own salvation with
fear and trembling. We need to take all efforts to receive salvation which is redemption from our bodies. When we keep praising the Lord and filled with anoiting,
salvation will be fulfilled. We read in Psalm 100:4 'Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his
name.' When we prepare ourselves by praising the Lord, we will receive the security will always be there with us. Amen.
