BUT THE LORD - (Sequel to the message dated 4/11/2012)

 Jeremiah 20:11 say But the Lord is with me as a mighty awesome one, therefore my persecutors will stumble, and will not prevail. They will be greatly ashamed, for they will not prosper. Their everlasting confusion will never be forgotten.  Let us discuss on the same topic titled “But the Lord… “

5. I samuel 1:5,6,10,11,20 GOD WHO REMEMBERS

… But the Lord had shut up her womb….Lord himself had closed Hannah’s womb, so she wept bitterly in Gods presence. Due to this situation,  Hannah learnt the habit of praying and making vow so soon after the situation, God remembered Hannah’s reproach and he open her womb. So beloved, we should also learn to pray and make vow during the time of trials. If we do so, God will remember us and bless us.

6.  I Samuel 16:7,10,12,13 GOD  WHO SELECTS/CHOOSES

….But the Lord looks at the heart… Samuel was perplexed when he was searching for right person to anoint. But God says he does not see as the man sees because God looks at the heart of a man but the world looks at the outward appearance.  David was called by persons to get anointed. God does not see any qualifications in a person to select. His selection is unique.  A person is going to come in search of you and he is going to lift you up in your life.

7. II Samuel  22:19,20 GOD WHOS  IS OUR SUPPORT/STAY

…..But the Lord was my stay.  We see God  supports a person whom he delights. Even in our life God  is our only support,  people may forsake us or they may cheat us.  But we should have strong faith that God is the only person whom we can trust in this whole world. We should put our entire trust on God and if we do so, God will be our true stay .

8. Joshua 10: 10, 13, 14 GOD WHO BATTLES

….for the Lord fought for Israel …God made the sun to stand for the whole day in favor of the Israelites. God was with Joshua and he fought for his people. Even for us, God will be there to fight against our problems. Whenever  we are surrounded by many foes, we should not seek help from people but instead we trust our God and we must believe that he will fix our problems.  We should learn to hold our peace and God will take care of the rest.
