 God’s Own Way

Introduction:

Psalm 65:11 “Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness.”

          Dear beloved in Christ, the moment we read this verse we get an instant happiness in our hearts. I pray that God should give us grace which will enable us to inherit all the blessings that is hidden in the above verse. In the second part of the verse talks about the Paths of God. Our Lord God had prepared a special way to each and everyone of us in this world which is full of abundance. Certain ways of God concerning us might seem exhaustive and difficult to walk, but God promises that he will lead us and guide us in his own ways and make us a blessed people.

Psalm 25:4 “Shew me thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths.”

          As mentioned in the above verse, we need to ask God to reveal his paths concerning us. We ought to believe that the ways that God has kept for us is unique. For instance, for VIP’s, Diplomats in this world are welcomed by red carpet, but that is really short-lived. Our heavenly father is going to welcome us in a special way, as he puts red carpet to our paths that God has kept for us till the end of our lifetime. Today, we are going to meditate upon the different ways that God is going to lead us in our lives.

I. Way Of Faith

Job 24:13 “They are of those that rebel against the light; they know not the ways thereof, nor abide in the paths thereof.”

          Here we see that there are some people who rebel against the light, and have no idea about the ways of God. They also do not abide in the paths of God. The Hebrew word for ‘Abide’ is ‘Yashab’ which means to properly sit down. Genesis 22:5, we see the faith that Abraham had on God and not only that we also need to understand that, even the servants of Abraham obeyed him. When Abraham asked them to wait till he comes back, the servants had a firm faith on their master’s words. They made it a point to wait there for their master. This is the Way of Faith. The experience of waiting leads us to the path of faith.

          When we walk into the Path of Faith, we will be filled with a strong hope that Jehovah Jireh will supply all our needs. Our God says ‘When you walk in the path of faith, your eyes shall not wander. Your eyes should look forward only to me.’ When we do according to God’s words and when we abide in God’s presence, everything that pertains to us will prosper as a result of our walk on the way of faith.

II. Way Of Unknown

Psalm 77:19 “Thy way is in the sea, and thy path in the great waters, and thy footsteps are not known.”

          We see God’s paths are led through the sea and the mighty waters. And his footprints were not noticed. Many of us say that they find so difficult to lead in their way of life. But we should never forget that our God is able to lead us even in the midst of the sea as he led the people of Israelites. This is the way of Unknown. People around us may say ‘This is the end! There is no way out!’ But God says ‘For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.’(Isaiah 55:8).

          The way in which our God leads us is a unique one and nobody in this world can understand it. We need to believe on the unknown ways that God is leading you, and you should say ‘I am going to walk in the way, which I do not know’ Isaiah 42:16 ‘And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them.’ This verse clearly depicts on the awesome way that God is going to lead his people. Our God is a God who turns the darkness into brightness. God says ‘I am the Lord who led you from the very beginning; I will throw away all your darkness which is before you. And you shall walk in the way of unknown and I will give you all the blessings from above.’ Therefore, though we walk in the paths which we do not know, God is able to guide us and guard us.

III. Way Of No Blocks

Isaiah 49:11 “And I will make all my mountains a way, and my highways shall be exalted.”

           The chapter records the prophetic words of God concerning the restoration of Israel. In the above stated verse, we see Our Lord God turns mountains into roads and he raises the highways. God does all these things to break all the blocks and hindrances in our lives. We see our God breaks and brings down all the massive hills that is found in the paths of his children. Your problems may look as if it is like a huge hill but God is breaking it and giving you a path to move forward. If a normal person on earth can make caves and roads on a hill, how sure it is that our heavenly father will make a way in times of massive hills (Troubles). Today we need to start confessing saying ‘My mountains are to be made a path!’ Your paths shall not be seen down, instead God is going to lift your paths and there shall be no mountain-like complexities in your life.

IV. Way Of Rest

Jeremiah 6:16 “Thus saith the Lord, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls….”

          The verse talks about crossroads (ways), where it signifies a confused state of where to head to? What should we do? The answer lies within the verse, that to choose a right path, we need to look into the ancient days. When we do so, God gives us a divine rest. In this world, we might come across many shortcut doctrines to get blessed. But what is the authentic way to get blessed?  Or how can you choose a right path? As we read in this verse, we need to discern the Old path and walk accordingly. If we do so, God leads us in a Way of Rest. Many people miss away this Divine rest, as they do not consult God on their choices. God wants you and me to just stop before stepping into a new way and to consult him for a better path. God says ‘It is enough for you to take troubles in the recent past. I am giving you a divine rest. All you need to do is to consult me.’ Today God is leading you in a path where you are to be given a rest which shall be never taken by anyone in this world. Therefore, we need to pray to God to shower his grace and mercy upon us to lead us in his own way. Amen! God Bless You!
