The Lord will do great things

Introduction

Joel 2:21 "Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice: for the LORD will do great things."

The above passage is the promise for the month of July. Our Lord almighty will reveal us the great things that he has prepared for us. This month is going to be a month where we are going to witness the great attributes of our Lord God. Let us discuss on the great blessings that our Lord God is going to shower upon us.

I Multitude

Deuteronomy 10:21-22 "He is thy praise, and he is thy God, that hath done for thee these great and terrible things, which thine eyes have seen.Thy fathers went down into Egypt with threescore and ten persons; and now the LORD thy God hath made thee as the stars of heaven for multitude."

Over here we see Our Lord God leads his people to the land of Canaan. We should understand that all the doings of our Lord God blesses his people with goodness. Interestingly, when the people of Israel came out of Egypt they were high in number. When they first entered Egypt they were a small crowd. Our Lord blessed the people with his blessing of Multitude and they waxed great. The King of Egypt was unable to handle the increase in their number. Even in our lives our Lord God is going to bless us with this blessings of multitude. In Deuteronomy 10:12 ‘And now, Israel, what doth the LORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul,’ It is true that our Lord blessed the people of Israel but at the same time he wanted his people to serve him with all their heart and soul. Even in our day to day lives, we should have the feeling that our Lord God is watching us all the time. No matter where we are, our Lord God watches us wherever we go, what we do and what we speak. Therefore, the real love of God is to serve him with all our heart and soul. And also we should never forget that we are watched and we should fear upon his name.

II Restoration

Deuteronomy 10:16 "Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiffnecked."

Here in this passage, we see about the circumcision in the Old Testament. But the real circumcision is concerned of the heart. In John 14:21 ‘He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.’ In the Old testament we have the ten commandment that should be observed, but in the New testament we have many commandments which should be observed to inherit the blessings that our Lord has kept for us. When we truly seek our Lord God and if we obey his words, we will inherit the Promised Land. In Deuteronomy 11:10&12 ‘For the land, whither thou goest in to possess it, is not as the land of Egypt, from whence ye came out, where thou sowedst thy seed, and wateredst it with thy foot, as a garden of herbs: A land which the LORD thy God careth for: the eyes of the LORD thy God are always upon it, from the beginning of the year even unto the end of the year.’ As we read in these passages, we should inherit the Promised Land that our Lord God has reserved for us. When we truly seek the presence of our Lord God, our lives will be blessed with prosperity. In Psalms 126:1 ‘When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.’ As this verse clearly points out, our Lord God is going to turn away all our captivity. All what we have lost in our lives will be restored as God restores Zion. Our Lord is going to bless us with restoration and we will be placed on the rock. All the people around us will be put in a state of shock witnessing our restoration.

III Announce things that know not

Jeremiah 33:3 "Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not."/p>

We see our Lord God called Jeremiah to pray and he gives him promises. This month will be month where we are going to witness all the great things which we cant imagine. In Jeremiah 33:14 ‘Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will perform that good thing which I have promised unto the house of Israel and to the house of Judah.’ Our Lord God is going to bless us as recorded in this verse. We the children of our Lord God will be blessed with the things which we know not and our Lord will fulfill what he promised. Therefore, let us all serve our Lord God with all our hearts and souls and also let us obey to the words of God to witness the great things that our Lord God is going bless us. Amen!
