JOB
Introduction
Job 42:10 "And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.
The life that Job led in that period is something which is absolutely divine and pleasing in the sight of our Lord God. This is the main reason why Job was blessed abundantly more than anyone else on his days. In Job 42:6 'Wherefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes.' Here when we read this passage, we can notify how Job humbles himself before the Lord almighty though he is given into a fatal circumstances. Today, as a part of our meditation we are going to see how the Lord God was with Job and blessed him double-fold.
I Lord visited Job
Job 38:1 "Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said,"
When we read this chapter we can understand the trials and temptations that Job went through in his life. But the very moment when God started to visit him, all his problems once thronged him were let loose.
II Lord Honors Job
Job 42:12 'So the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses.'
This verse confirms that the Lord’s concern over Job does not stop with his visit but also honored him. Same way, we the children of God will be freed from all the satanic troubles that are fencing us in our lives.
III Lord stood for Job
Job 42:7 "And it was so, that after the LORD had spoken these words unto Job, the LORD said to Eliphaz the Temanite, My wrath is kindled against thee, and against thy two friends: for ye have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job hath."
In the above passage we read, our Lord stands by his side. There were no instances where God chides Job or accused him for his words. Instead our Lord was angry over his friends who were a real trouble to him. And also he makes him pray for his enemies.
IV Lord establishes Job
Job 42:10 "And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before."
We see our Lord not only puts an end to his physical struggle but also establishes him by giving him double of what he had before. In Job 42:12 "So the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses." Our Lord God restores him. Even in our lives, we will be blessed double fold of what we had lost.
V Job lived a life of testimony
Job 5:11 "To set up on high those that be low; that those which mourn may be exalted to safety."
We should understand that though Job was given into a trial, he held on to the Lord God. Job had a firm faith that he will be set free from his captivity. The whole life of Job stands a testimony to glorify the name of the Lord till date.
Therefore, we the children of Lord should also lead a life like Job and we shall be blessed with double fold blessings in our lives. Amen. God bless you.
