Glory to God

Daniel 3:28 “Then Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king's word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God.”

                In the above passage we see a testimony that is shared by the king. We see Shadrach, Meshach and Abed Nego lived a life of testimony in the eyes of the King. This brought glory to the name of the Lord. Looking at the lives of Shadrach, Meshach and Abed Nego, the King himself was inspired and shares his testimony concerning them and glorifies the Lord. Even in our lives, when we experience the glory of God, through us the Lord will be glorified. Through his miracles, God’s glory will be revealed. We should pray that our lives will be instrumental in glorifying the Lord God. Today, let us meditate on how Shadrach, Meshach and Abed Nego’s lives glorified the Lord God.

Appearance

Daniel 3:25 “He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.”

                Here we read that four men walked around the fire. The counsellors of the King saw them walking with God and they were astonished. Their appearances revealed the glory of God. In our lives, we should validate ourselves if our appearances reflect the glory of the Lord. In Acts 11:26 ‘And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.’ The word Christians refers to Christ+Man. As we are the Christ, people who look at us should feel the glory of the Lord. People should see Jesus in our behavior and that should lead them to Christ. Today, the Lord expects his children to reflect his nature. We read in Daniel 3:27 ‘And the princes, governors, and captains, and the king's counsellors, being gathered together, saw these men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them.’ We see the princes, governor and captains were gathered there and they witnessed the glory of the Lord. They saw that the fire did not burn their hairs and coats. They witnessed the glory of the Lord which protected his children from the burning fire. When we live a life in a way that reflects the glory of the Lord, we can expect supernatural miracles every day.

Walk

Daniel 3:25 “He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.”

                We read that four men were walking in the midst of the fire. The people gathered in the King’s place saw these men who should have been dead were walking around casually in the burning fire. In our lives, people around us are watching our walks. Truly speaking, the Lord has helped and protected us during the pandemic and made us all walk around normally up until the very minute. When our walk is in our Lord, even on the fire we will walk with him. No temptations will touch us when our walk is with the Lord. As recorded in Genesis 5:24 ‘And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.’ We should make a resolution like Enoch that we should walk with the Lord.

                We read in Matthew 8:14-15 ‘And when Jesus was come into Peter's house, he saw his wife's mother laid, and sick of a fever.And he touched her hand, and the fever left her: and she arose, and ministered unto them.’ Here we see Jesus came to Peter’s house, he saw his wife’s mother was down with fever. When Jesus touched her hand, it left her immediately and she got up to serve him. In NIV version, we read that she got up and began to wait on him. She was waiting for the command of the Lord. The fever was hindering her to minister to Jesus. Even in our lives, the current pandemic is hindering many of us to minister to the Lord God. Just like Peter’s mother in law, many of us are lying down unable to get up. The fever has made many people to take a back seat to continue the ministry of the Lord. Today, the Lord God will touch our lives to revive their ministry. We read in Acts 10:38 & Mark 6:6, the Lord Jesus went around teaching and ministering to people. We must make it a point to walk for our Lord God to glorify his name in our lives.

Unbound                                                                                                                       

Daniel 3:23 “And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.”

Daniel 3:25 “He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.”

In the above passages we read they were firmly tied and thrown in the fiery furnace. When they put were put inside the fire, their ropes was unbound. The fire would have burnt only the ropes and not the children of the Lord. The deliverance brought a glory to the name of the Lord. Those who put their trust in the Lord cannot be bound by any form of bondage. All the bondages will be broken when we walk with the Lord. As recorded in John 8:36 ‘If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.’ The Lord God will unbound all the ropes of sickness and diseases. In II Corinthians 3:17 ‘Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.’ Our Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit will be with us in times of temptations and will give us victories. We the children of the Lord will receive deliverances and will glorify the name of the Lord.

Unharmed

Daniel 3:25 “He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.”

In the above passage we see they were unharmed inside the fiery furnace. Those who were supposed to be harmed were unharmed and saw the glory of the Lord. In Daniel 6:23 ‘Then was the king exceeding glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found upon him, because he believed in his God.’ The Lord protect Daniel and he was delivered out of the Lion’s den. There was no sign of attack was found upon him. In Exodus 8:22 ‘And I will sever in that day the land of Goshen, in which my people dwell, that no swarms of flies shall be there; to the end thou mayest know that I am the LORD in the midst of the earth.’ As recorded in this verse, the Lord should protect our country in this pandemic and should glorify his name. As recorded in Job 1:10 ‘Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.’ Just like how took care of Job and set a hedge around him, he will lay a fence in our lives and will protect us. Our trials and temptations will make us walk with the Lord. When we surrender our lives to walk with the Lord through every situation, we will glorify the name of the Lord and we will live for him.
